I love shooting with the prime lens. I hope it’s not just a phase I go through where I enjoy tinkering around with new gadgets. I’ve had my prime lens on since I bought it and I’ve put away my kit lens. At the moment, I have no plans on putting the 18-55mm back on.

Jenn pieced together these crystals for the light in the foyer. She put together a bunch of them and hung each one from one light to the next. Then we found a lamp shade from Walmart for cheap so we bought it and replaced the old off white coloured shade.

Sometimes I wonder if there is some sort of geothermic heating occurring underneath the pebbles on the beach. Either the sun is melting the snow off the pebbles or there’s heat from an underground source.

I believe this was taken the day after I purchased the prime lens. I was surprised how I was able to shoot with such high shutter speed. During cloudy conditions like this day, I would usually shoot at a much lower shutter speed but with such a wide aperture, I was able collect more that light.

I found this old television in my living room. I assumed that Jenn’s mom moved it here while I was at work. I couldn’t test whether it still worked or not since it didn’t have a power cord connected. It would have been cool to see if it could pick up anything.

This is Gus, my roommate’s cat. When he sees me he runs. When he wants something he’ll approach me. Today, he’s trying to hide.

The alley way in my backyard is fairly busy. A few of my neighbours, including me park our vehicles in the back since the streets are usually littered with bar patrons. The bar has its own parking lot but nobody seems to want to park there.

I decided not to decorate my house for Christmas this year but my surrounding neighbours did decorate their houses. I didn’t get a chance to walk around the neighbourhood to see all the different lights and all, mainly because it was too cold.. Luckily, my neighbour to the left had something up so I took a quick picture.
