I don’t’ quite understand how some people can get their driver’s license without knowing how to park. I know that parking isn’t a requisite to passing a driving exam but they should make it mandatory. Parallel parking can be hard for most people but if you were to park by driving straight, that’s a piece of cake.
I came home last night to discovery a car in my backyard. Sometimes, my neighbour has his friends over and they park there but they’re good about it and leave me some room. The van that was parked there last night and this morning has no idea how to park whatsoever. Not only did they park on my property but they also took up two spots. The driver is double parked in my backyard when there was plenty of space available.
I should probably submit this picture to youparklikeanasshole.com
I had a lot of things in my car that I had to take into the house so parking in the back would have made it easier for me. The fact that I had to park on the street pissed me off a little because I have to walk further to unload things from my car. I guess what pissed me off more is the way this guy parked his car and the fact that he’s on my property. To make matters worse, it was raining like crazy outside. It’s a good thing that I managed to get everything into the house as it was starting to drip.
I was so pissed off at the situation that I wanted to throw a rock into the guy’s window so that rain can pour into his van. I could have called the bylaw or a tow truck and have the van ticketed or towed but I didn’t want to go that far just yet. Instead, I decided to leave him a note the next morning:
The next time you decide to park in my spot, please have the courtesy to park properly. This area can usually fit two cars but when you park half ass like this, I can’t fit my car in. I shouldn’t have to go looking for a parking spot when I have one available on my property.
I’m going to assume that this car will be gone by the time I leave from work today but a part of me thinks that it’s not going happen. Every now and then I’ll find someone’s car in my spot. They have no right to park on my property without my authorization. If that car is still there at the end of the day and I find out that it doesn’t belong to any of my neighbours, it’s going to get towed at the owner’s expense.
