Order placed

After doing research for about a couple of weeks and thinking about it for about another week, I’ve made up my mind. I have come to a conclusion and I am going with the Nikon D50 digital SLR camera. I did a comparison between the Nikon and the Canon and I believe that the Nikon is the camera for me. Reviews over the internet suggests that it s a good entry-level camera for its price. I’ve placed an online order with Best Buy and now I have to anxiously wait for the camera to arrive.

I based my decisions on three factors, price, quality and features. These cameras are not cheap so price plays a big role in the final decision. I am not able to test out both cameras for quality so that factor is going to be judged by the pictures that other people take. And being new to photography, I would like to have a camera that is versatile and allows me to do a lot of things with it. A camera with some good features would mean that I will be able to use it for a long time and not have to worry about upgrading it soon.

The Nikon D50 is pretty price for my taste. I called a friend crazy for buying a digital camera for $500. Now I’m doing the same but I’m spending a lot more. He purchased that camera for personal use while I tend to use it for both personal and business. The reason why his camera was so expensive was due to the fact that it was small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and it was a Sony. Not wanting to make waste money on something that I didn’t need, I made sure I did enough research to help me make the right decision.

I’ve looked around at a few places but maybe I didn’t look hard enough for the best deals. I’ve heard of people getting the camera for $650. I don’t know if that camera with the lens or not but if it didn’t then that sounds about right. The total that this camera is going to cost me is about $890. I may not be receiving this camera for another two weeks or so. The online warehouse is currently out of stock. I’ve been took by a Customer Service Representative that it generally takes around five to seven business for the warehouse to restock its inventory. Once it becomes available, it may take another week for shipping. So it looks like I’ll receive the camera just in time to catch the colours of the leaves changing.
