I wasn’t doing much last night so I spend an hour or so watching stuff on YouTube. I was just browsing around when I came across a few videos by someone that goes by the name of Filthy Whore. The name doesn’t suit her at all. From the videos that I’ve seen, she seems to be a really nice person. She has a variety of things to talk about and she’s not afraid to speak her mind. And of course, with popularity comes those people who want a piece of it. There are a few videos out there that disses her in some sort of way. I didn’t bother to take a look at those videos. I’m thinking they made those video so they can get in on all the attention she’s been receiving.
But anyway, there was this one video that she made where she was putting on makeup. It’s not like I’m interested in learning how to put on makeup or anything. I just happened to watching her videos in sequence. As you watch the video, you see her with no makeup on. Eventually she starts to apply some powder, mascara and lipsticks etc. The thing that amazes me is the change that she goes through. And it’s not just her, it’s everyone in general. Just a little change can alter your appearance in a major way.
I’ve experienced this first hand because no one seems to recognize me as soon as I get a hair cut. I leave my hair so long that as soon as it’s cut to an inch long, I’m unrecognizable. For me, it’s the hair but for others it might be something else. I change my hair style and appearance changes with it. If I wear a hat, that will change the way I look as well because it’s hiding my hair.
Most of the guys that I know don’t change their hair style often. I, on the other hand, switch between long hair and short hair. I’ll go from having black hair to red, brown, blue, green and blonde. So I guess that takes some time to get use to. I don’t see most of my friends all the time, so when I do see them with a new hair style, they’re always like, “Oh my god! You cut your hair! Why?” It seems like it’s a big change to them because they haven’t seen me in months.
And while I’m on the subject of haircuts, why is it that people always ask you rhetorical questions as soon as notice the haircut? As soon as you hear it, you really don’t want to answer honestly. They don’t really give you a choice in the matter. It goes a little something like this.
Friend: Did you just get a haircut?
Friend: Yeeeessss, you did!
Me: Okay, maybe just a little off the top.
Friend: Noooo, you practically shave it all off!
Me: Wow, I didn’t realize that I cut off that much.
Friend: I know, eh?
Me: You’re very observant, you know that?
Obviously, some people do not understand sarcasm. And those who understand sarcasm, don’t know how to use it properly.
But anyway, with girls, changing their hair style can affect their appearance a lot. If you’ve noticed, a girl with her hair down will look one way but a girl with her hair tied in a pony tail will look different. Maybe it’s just me without my glasses but I think it’s a big change. Oh, and the makeup makes a big change too. Filthy Whore (I don’t want to call her that but I don’t know any other name to call her by) looks pretty hot without makeup but as soon as she starts to apply each layer, you can see the change. I’m surprised how long it takes to put on makeup. Girls are willing to spend that much time to change their appearance.
A friend of mine once told me that girls do that because of us guys. I thought girls made themselves look pretty for their own cause but apparently, it’s to attract the guys. But eh, who am I to argue with facts like that?
