Photography

Latey, I’ve been doing a little thinking about starting up a new hobbie. The first thing that came to my mind was photography. The reason for that was because I’m typing a blog but my blogs lack photographs. I know that most people don’t require it but because this is a personal blog that tells you stories about what’s going on in my life, I thought it would be better if I added some images. Plus, I’m going to need a camera to take pictures for clients in the near future, might as well start now.

If you’ve been here for a while, you will notice that I have some links to other blogs. Those are the blogs that I frequently visit to read. A few of them are blogs that I started out reading from the beginning. Amongst the list is a link to Odds and Ends. It’s a photograph blog by Zhixin Lim from London, England. I don’t remember exactly how I wound up on his blog but I’m glad I did. He takes amazing pictures of London. His layout design is so simple yet it looks so sophisticated. That’s a hard look to pull off. Zhixin has daily photographs of sites around London. He even goes into details about the lens he used to take those pictures too. I usually point and click and hopes it turns out right. But there’s a lot more to photography than just pointing and clicking so I have a lot to learn.

When I became more interested in photography, I emailed Zhixin and asked him for some pointers on which camera to buy. He pointed me to a website that gave reviews on camera. He recommended that I get a dSLR camera. So I’m going to have to do some research and see if I can find a camera that will fit my needs. Once I find a camera, I’m going to have to design a layout to match.
