Major pain

For the last forty-eight hours, I’ve been in major pain because I’ve had all four of my wisdom tooth removed. It’s not too bad right now, but after the surgery, it hurt like a biatch!

My appointment with the oral surgeon was at 9am but I didn’t get into the seat until 10am. I sat in the seat, the surgeon came in and cracked a few jokes while his assistant strapped me into a monitoring machine. They strapped some more things on me and injected me with something. The last thing I remembered was that the room was getting a little blurry. Next thing I knew, I was in my bed.

I started to toss and turn and that’s when the pain started to hit. I felt around with my tongue and I can feel stitches inside my mouth. It’s kinda freaky. The medicine that the doctor prescribe isn’t helping all that much. It’s just temporary relief. Even drinking cold water doesn’t help. The water turns warm within seconds.

My face is swollen like a melon. I look like Fat Albert. Just looking at my face, it looks like I’ve gained weight during the operation, it’s that bad. I’ll be out of commission for a few days. I’ve already missed a day of work and it looks like I’ll be missing my shift today as well.

For anyone who hasn’t had their wisdom tooth pulled yet, I recommend removing them 1 or 2 at a time because having all them of pulled at the same time is way too much of a hassle and way too painful!
